McAllen- Albert R. Karnes, Jr., 76, went to be with Our Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his residence in McAllen. He was born to Albert R. Karnes, Sr. and Irene McClenning on August 19, 1936 in Savana, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Albert R. Karnes, Sr. and his infant daughter, Ruth Karnes. He is survived by his loving wife, Miriam " Minnie" Lard Karnes; his daughters, Julie A. Romanowski (Brian) of Mahomet, IL., Susan L. Best (Jerry) of Clearwater FL.; Special daughter, Patricia Smith (Ryan) of Williamsfield, IL.; sons, Rusty Karnes of McAllen, Texas and William Karnes, Sr. (Rita Jo) of Lake Wales, FL. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 4 Great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 4pm to 9pm at his residence in McAllen. The Mass of Celebration will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church located at 1108 Hackberry Ave. in McAllen.
