APOLINAR RODRIGUEZ JR. EDINBURG - Apolinar Rodriguez Jr., 55, went to be with our Lord on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. He was born to Apolinar Rodriguez Sr. and Maria Guadalupe Mercado on August 17, 1956. Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Apolinar Rodriguez, Sr. and his sister, Elisa (Bernardino) Benavidez. He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca H. Rodriguez; his siblings, Ramiro (Adalgisa) Rodriguez, Esmeralda (Librado) Lopez, Romeo Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez, Gonzalo (Bertha) Rodriguez, Maria Matiana (Jose Alfredo) Rodriguez and Martin (Irma) Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family received friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 3pm to 9pm with a holy rosary recited that evening. Funeral Mass will be held today, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 10:00a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow to Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Having the distinguished honor serving as pallbearers will be: Gonzalo Rodriguez Sr., Gonzalo Rodriguez Jr., Guadalupe Benavidez, Brent Magnum, Robert Hernandez Sr. and Robert Hernandez Jr. Funeral arrangements and services have been entrusted to the care of Vaughan Watson Funeral Home of Edinburg.
