DONNA - Ernesto Chavez, 55 passed away on August 12, 2012 at Solara Hospital in McAllen . He was born to Luis Chavez and Maria Olivia Sanchez on December 7, 1956 in Edcouch, Texas. He is preceded in death by his son, Jose Luis Chavez. He is survived by his wife, Juana Chavez; children, Ernesto Chavez Jr. (Mary), Belinda Chavez (Santos Flores); daughter-in-law, Janie Salinas; seven grandchildren; and 10 brothers and sisters. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 and Wednesday, August 15 2012 from 12 pm to 9pm with a holy rosary to be recited both evenings at 7:00PM at Vaughan Memorial Chapel in Donna. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 2:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna, Interment to follow to Donna City Cemetery in Donna.
