EXPECTACION GONZALEZ MANCIAS (CONCHITA) PHARR - Expectacion Gonzalez Mancias (Conchita), 90, was called on Thursday, July 5, 2012 by our heavenly father to live with him in his Kingdom. Our Mother was born in Alamo, Texas on January 31, 1922. She lived most of her life in Pharr, Texas where she was a member of St. Margaret Church in Pharr, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Mancias Sr., father, Cosme Gonzalez, mother Isidra Palomo, mother-in-law Maria Acosta Mancias of Pharr TX., sister-in-law, Olivia Acosta Mancias of Pharr, TX , sister, Petra Gonzalez Gonzalez of Chicago, IL, son-in-law Lazaro D. Barrera of Chicago, IL and grandson Juan Barrera of Chicago, IL, and Step-mother, Guadalupe M. Gonzalez. She is survived by her children, Maria Berta Mancias Barrera (Lazaro+) of Chicago, IL, Ignacio Mancias Jr. (Delores) of McAllen, and Maria Elisa Mancias of Edinburg. She is also survived by her sister, Isabel (Chavela) Gonzalez Pacheco of McAllen; brother, Francisco (Panchito) Gonzalez of McAllen, her grandchildren Lazaro Barrera Jr. of Chicago, Isabel Barrera of Chicago, Marina Barrera of Chicago, Javier Cosme Mancias (Beatriz), Kristyna Marie Mancias of Arlington, TX, Adrian Mancias and Amanda Gaytan of Edinburg Texas and 7 great-grandchildren; Step-brothers, Evaristo Gonzalez and Thomas Gonzalez; Step-sisters Enriqueta Gonzalez, Aurelia Gonzalez, Gregoria Gonzalez; Uncles, Ismael Gonzalez, Lazaro Gonzalez, Leobardo Gonzalez, Regino Gonzalez; Aunts, Felipa G. Lopez, Francisca Gonzalez and Marcelina G. Rodriguez. A Special Thank you to Ms. Sara Davila, our Mother's Health Care Provider for many years. The Mancia's family would like to thank everyone who has accompanied us at our time of sorrow through prayers and kind words. Family will receive friends today, Friday, July 6, 2012 from 2pm to 9pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Vaughan Watson Memorial Chapel in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today, July 7, 2012 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
