Pedro "Pete" Cortez Jr 32, entered eternal rest on Sunday November 27,2022 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born May 20, 1990 in Edinburg Texas to Pedro Cortez Sr. and Diana Venegas. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Maria P. Guzman and his paternal grandfather Delfino Manuel Cortez. He is survived by his paternal grandmother Guadalupe Cortez. Left to cherish his memories from his mother's side are his daughter; Giselle Navaeh Cortez; mother; Diana Venegas and stepfather Carlos J. Venegas Sr., his brother; Carlos J. Venegas Jr.; his sisters; Victoria Venegas and Venessa Rose Venegas. Along with uncles; Noberto Perez and Juan M. Perez (Rose), his aunt; Graciela Guzman and his loving cousins; Cassondra Cantu, Jose F. Cantu, Claudette Cantu, Chauvonne Allen, Mark Anthony Perez, Katelynn Perez, Jessica Perez, Alfredo Zerrata, and Christina Garcia. Left to cherish his memories from his father's side are his father Pedro Cortez Sr. and stepmother Rebecca Salinas; his brothers; Nicolas P. Cortez (Anna); Matthew R. Cortez (Aida); Jacob B. Cortez (Karime) and Brandon L. Cortez. His sisters; Stephanie A. Cortez and Victoria A. Cortez along with his uncles; Delfino Cortez; Fabian Cortez (Irma); Delvis Cortez (Veronica); his aunts; Graciela Cortez and Priscilla Cortez and his loving cousins; Valerie Borrego, Carlos Borrego, Mina Cortez, Sam Cortez, Steven Cortez, Fabian Cortez Jr., Abrian Cortez, Isaiah Cortez, Lucas Cortez, Joe Moreno III, Diamond N. Moreno, Aaliyah Moreno, Damien Cortez, Delilah Guajardo, Aaron Cortez, and Ava Borrego. He is also survived by his partner in life Dalia Medina and her children Josiah Serrano and Miguel Serrano whom he thought of as his own. Pete Jr loved to make everyone laugh and made sure you were laughing by the end of the night. He was such a loving and caring person and had the biggest heart. He would always let his loved ones and those close at heart know how proud he was of them. He was an avid fan of tattoos and firearms; but his greatest love was the love he had for his daughter Giselle, as she was the key to his heart. He enjoyed watching football and sports with his father and brothers although it wasn't for the sport, but for the companionship and company of his family. He was very loving and rarely left without making sure he had hugged and kissed his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
